'Unity in Community'

'Unity in Community'

Based on African culture, being raised by a village of people was the norm. The village was made up of a community of people that maintained healthy and safe environments for each other, especially children. I am the person I am today because of the environments I was raised in. Where the respect we give ourselves is the respect we give others.

My brothers, sisters, and I learned respect from our parents, Kai and Donald Phiri, the married couple set a tone that complimented the tradition of a peaceful community that they envisioned for their children. To be raised around standards. A culture based on ‘Abantu,’ also known as ‘the people. ’

As you read this, ask yourself...

what communities am I giving my confidence, consistency, and commitment to?

Communities are a unified body of people that work well with individuals that want the best for the community to grow. Now, what does the best look like?

The best may look different to all of us, but here are three criterions that we believe can make up the best communities :

  1. Cleanliness
  2. Culture or Traditions
  3. Gratitude

The three criterias that make up the best communities are based on what stands out as healthy living and common interests of individuals that respect their life and the lives of others.

Cleanliness is one of the necessary agents to good health, therefore, the practice of keeping oneself or one's surroundings clean can increase well-being and productivity for all. Cleanliness does not only mean taking the trash out, but also being hygiene conscious and recognizing any trashy energy or thoughts that aren’t conducive to positive community culture. Culture is a set of shared values, goals, and attitudes that make up a community's social practices. Traditions are customs or beliefs passed down from generation to generation. A healthy cultural standard can shift the world's paradigm. At Fearless Growth, the attitude to practice is gratitude. This attitude is aimed to help us remember how far we’ve come as a community. Eliminating negative energy that causes us to complain and make excuses rather than improvements. Gratitude allows us to build up on what’s good about our communities and alleviates the overwhelming amount of negative news being broadcasted across the Globe.

That is why we invite you to ‘Growth News,’ where our interest in self awareness is coupled with our desire to witness growth from all communities.
